How SoundingBox helped the greatest company in the world help another great company.

Getting a call from Google is a little like getting a call from above.

Early when we were incubating SoundingBox inside of our parent company, Change Sciences, we issued a press release about a travel study we had recently completed using an early version of the SoundingBox platform. The study compared the experience of finding a ticket at a handful of airline sites with the same experience on online travel agency sites like Travelocity and Priceline.

The phone rang and on the other end was Michael Librizzi, who at the time was heading up the Priceline account at Google. He wanted to invite us in to present our data to Priceline and have a Q and A about travel website best practices.

It was great to visit Google’s NYC digs and meet a good deal of the Priceline team who came down from CT, and who, like us, were a bit bowled over by the subway-themed office decoration, and, well, just to be hanging out for a day at Google.

Our partnership with Google continues. Our co-founder Pamela Pavliscak has been tapped by other teams at Google to come and speak on things like emotion and the future of AI as part of their speaker series. She even got to be the judge at a hackathon which resulted in Google Quick Draw.
